Since I last updated the blog, we've probably taken 500 or so pictures. Needless to say, most of those will never make the blog since we are blog slackers. Here's a pic from the trip to see the Penfields back in early November. I'm hoping to get pics of Emily's 1st birthday and Christmas posted today as well!

On our way to Birmingham, we made a couple of stops. The first was at Rendevous in Memphis to eat some good BBQ and see our friend Lisa who happened to be coming to Memphis the same night. After BBQ we headed to New Albany, MS to stay with John & Jasmine. We also got to see Denise & John and meet their daughter Maggie, who is a couple of months younger than Emily. Lisa, John, & Denise were all in seminary with David when we lived in Atlanta. The visits were short, but it was lots of fun to see everyone and introduce them to Emily. We missed Kathleen & Sonya!
The Monthly Update
So I guess it's become a monthly update at best. Although it seems like I just posted pictures since it's now past Thanksgiving I guess it's been awhile. Time goes quickly. We had a great trip to Birmingham at the beginning of November, but since then we have all been sick on & off. Emily has spent 2 of the last 3 weeks at home with a virus each time, mostly a fever that got as high as 105 at times. So, we've all been busy trying to get well and of course get ready for Christmas. As you can tell in the picture, Emily has been working out trying to get well!

Bath time fun
Emily loves bathtime...although after seeing how many toys Emma Claire has for her bathtime she might be a little jealous!

Not a good pic, but you get the idea. We went to Branson yesterday with the Kees. Emily thought she was a big kid facing forward and sitting between Jack and Maree-Claire!

Actually she was hanging out ON Goose...he's so good with her, he just lays there and eats his bone while she crawls all over him!

It seems like overnight we went from having a baby to having a little girl...Em is now big enough to play on the swingset with Jack & Maree-Claire, with her mom & dad right there of course!

Emily and Amber. We were in Conway for my high school reunion. Emily got to meet a bunch of my high school friends, here she is with Amber. I'm a loser and didn't take many pictures so that's all for the reunion photos.
Meeting family she didn't know she had!
After we got back from California, we hung out in Conway at my parents for a couple of days, Emily got to meet some new family members...these is my cousin Brett and his son Nathan who is 2. Nathan will be a big brother sometime in the spring...Brett wasn't sure about a girl, but I think Emily liked him!

It's so hard being this cute...good thing great uncle Rick was there to hold Emily while the rest of us finished dinner.

While we were in California Emily got to meet my friend Joy. Joy lives in Berkeley and drove to Los Altos to have dinner with us. It was great to see her and catch up and for her to meet Emily!
California Vacation
Earlier this month Emmy took airplane ride #2 when we went to Los Altos to visit my aunt and her family and celebrate Jessi's 21st birthday. We would not have made it on the plane without gramma there to help! Since blogger is actually cooperating tonight, I'm trying to get a bunch of pics posted that I haven't gotten on the blog yet...enjoy!

First Steps
I'm trying to figure out how to post a video...if I can you will be able to witness some of Emily's first steps!!! Last Wednesday she started taking 2 or 3 steps between me and David. Today, she's up to 5 or 6 steps between people and will take a step or 2 from toy to toy without holding on...the past 10 months have gone by so fast...it already seems like we have a little girl instead of a baby!
