These refrigerator letters came with a thing that makes the sounds of each letter, this toy sings a fun sound too, for example, "every letter makes a sound and "s" says sssss! Who knew baby toys played such fun music?

Busy playing house

Actually it's busy playing with a house...thanks for the new house gramma & chief! Emily loves it, she likes to ring the doorbell and check the mail alot!

Busy with jail time

Emily's pack-n-play has become a permanent fixture in the living room...also known as baby jail! She will play in it for a little while, but she is quite the social child and much prefers company to solitary confinement!

Busy with biter biscuits (or busy feeding Goose)

The more solid foods Emily eats, the more Goose realizes how good is life has gotten! He waits right beside her highchair for her to finish a biter biscuit and feed the rest to him. He also licks her hands while she's in the middle of a meal!

Emily likes to bang on anything she can...when she bangs on this drum it sings this great song that goes "play the drum everyone, have some fun!" It can really get stuck in your head!!

Busy little girl

It's been awhile since I've posted pictures and updates so I'm trying to catch up. As I mentioned earlier, Emily started crawling a little over a month ago and life has been non-stop since then. She is quite the speed demon crawler by now and is also walking with a walker she can push by herself. She turned 8 months old this past Tuesday which is incredibly hard to believe. This time last year we were still getting ready for her and her daddy and Auntie Em were about to leave to visit Pop in Kenya. Also in the past month we've made daycare changes as usual. Emily started at an in-home daycare at the beginning of August and for several reasons it was not working out. So....in our never ending childcare saga, we've switched again!! Em started at a new daycare this week and so far so good, keep your fingers crossed...we are all ready for a permanent situation and unless Gramma wants to retire, Ryan wants to drop out of school to be her nanny, or Uncle Matthew can switch to law school at the U of A, this is about the last option!

Emily's cousin Ally came to stay and take care of her for a week! This was pretty special because when I was Ally's age I stayed with her for several weeks to baby-sit Ally and her sister, Jessi. Emmy and Ally spent lots of quality time snuggled up on the couch watching movies and reading books!!

Grandmother came for visit

Emily's grandmother came for a visit back in July and stayed with her several days...now that I think about it, she was here when Emily started crawling...maybe she's to blame for how busy our sweet little girl is now!!

These moments are few and far between

This was Emily after our last round of traveling several weeks ago...the day after this picture was taken she figured out how to crawl....and she hasn't been this still since then-so it's been VERY difficult to find the time to sit down long enough to post pictures but I thought I would finally give it a try...enojoy!

Playing with Goose

Emily has decided Goose's rawhides are much more interesting than her toys! She kept going after his bone tonight, then crying when I would take it away and crawling back to him to take it away again...I'm not sure Goose enjoyed the game quite as much as Emmy did!!

I left Emily laying on the living room floor eating a bottle, in no time she ditched the bottle, crawled over to the bouncy seat and pulled herself up on it! I can't believe how big she is...
