Christmas Morning, Take One: Water Table

Santa Claus brought Emily this water table for Christmas...I'm not sure what he was thinking by really filling it up with water!

Caroline & I went shopping together and bought Emily & Emma Claire the same outfit for Christmas so we had to get a picture of them together. Emily was not a fan of the hat...

Getting both of them to look at the camera at the same time is impossible! This is as good as it gets...they are sitting on her new toy from Ryan & Sarah which she loves!

Visit to Birmingham in November

Since I last updated the blog, we've probably taken 500 or so pictures. Needless to say, most of those will never make the blog since we are blog slackers. Here's a pic from the trip to see the Penfields back in early November. I'm hoping to get pics of Emily's 1st birthday and Christmas posted today as well!

On our way to Birmingham, we made a couple of stops. The first was at Rendevous in Memphis to eat some good BBQ and see our friend Lisa who happened to be coming to Memphis the same night. After BBQ we headed to New Albany, MS to stay with John & Jasmine. We also got to see Denise & John and meet their daughter Maggie, who is a couple of months younger than Emily. Lisa, John, & Denise were all in seminary with David when we lived in Atlanta. The visits were short, but it was lots of fun to see everyone and introduce them to Emily. We missed Kathleen & Sonya!

The Monthly Update

So I guess it's become a monthly update at best. Although it seems like I just posted pictures since it's now past Thanksgiving I guess it's been awhile. Time goes quickly. We had a great trip to Birmingham at the beginning of November, but since then we have all been sick on & off. Emily has spent 2 of the last 3 weeks at home with a virus each time, mostly a fever that got as high as 105 at times. So, we've all been busy trying to get well and of course get ready for Christmas. As you can tell in the picture, Emily has been working out trying to get well!
